Fiona Aspinal is a senior researcher in the National Institute of Health and Care Research’s (NIHR) Applied Research Collaboration (ARC) for North Thames based at the Department of Applied Health, University College London (UCL). She is the social care speciality research lead for the NIHR Clinical Research Network for the North Thames region. She undertakes mixed-methods research and evaluation of complex health and social care interventions and organisations, and is working across the region to help build research capacity in social care. She led the national evaluation on reablement: Models of Reablement Evaluation: a mixed methods evaluation of a complex intervention (The MoRE project).
Linda Sumpter is a researcher in the School of Policy Studies at the University of Bristol, UK, working on a project to build the capacity of people working in adult social care to use research to inform their decision-making. Linda is primarily a qualitative researcher and has experience of applying realist approaches. Her PhD focused on engaging with families in reablement services. Linda also has an interest in empowering health and social care workforces to use robotics on their own terms. She is currently involved on a research study in this area with University College London.
